StormGain is an innovative cryptocurrency trading platform that combines centralized and decentralized features. Viktoriya Khurs, an experienced UX designer, works in a creative and dynamic team that includes a product owner, engineers, and marketers.

One morning during a meeting, the product owner shared some news. The team decided to focus on identifying and addressing these problems to improve the platform and increase user satisfaction.

To tackle the issues plaguing StormGain, we embarked on our journey with a thorough discovery phase. This critical step involved understanding the root causes of the problems and laying the groundwork for effective solutions.
Research and Analysis
We began by conducting comprehensive research to analyze user behavior, gather feedback, and understand the intricacies of our platform's existing features. This involved:
User Interviews: We organized interviews with real users to gain firsthand insights into their experiences, frustrations, and needs. These conversations provided invaluable context and highlighted specific pain points that needed addressing.
Data Analysis: By examining user interaction data, we identified patterns and trends that pointed to areas of confusion and inefficiency. This quantitative approach helped us validate the qualitative findings from our user interviews.
Competitive Analysis: Studying our competitors' platforms allowed us to benchmark our performance and uncover best practices that could be adapted to improve StormGain.
Case 1. Consolidation of Entry Points for Cryptocurrency Exchange
Armed with these insights, we gathered our team for brainstorming sessions. We encouraged creative thinking and collaboration, generating a wide range of ideas and potential solutions. Our goal was to develop innovative approaches that would address the identified problems and enhance the overall user experience.

The platform offers two types of exchange: fast and advanced.
Fast Exchange. Function is similar to a traditional currency exchange transaction at a bank. There is one exchange rate from one currency to another, and you sell one cryptocurrency and purchase another that you can then store on your account balance for the long term.
Advanced Exchange. This type of exchange is a bit like margin trading: you can choose to make a market price order or set a pending order (to be processed when a price you specify is reached).
